The Sama Organisation is now the largest individial Martial Arts club in the U.K, with 10000 members training weekly in Karate, Kickboxing and Tai Chi Chuan Kung Fu.
First established by our Chief Instructor Hanshi Alan Gibson 8th Dan in 1978 in Brighton, Sama, over the years has expanded more and more through Sussex and out to Hampshire, Surrey and parts of Kent and Dorset.
The Sama Organisation is made up of over 75 professional full time and part time Karate Instructors both Male and Female, that teach thousands of children and adults each week in Schools,
Community Halls and Leisure Centres accross the South.

Sama Karate specialises in working with children, providing an after school club in over 400 schools across the south.
Our professional Instructors work helping our students to prepare them for their next grading. Our Instructors work with constant support form Parents, Govenors & especially our Head Teachers, some of which have supported us for over 10 years.

The Chief Instructor - Hanshi Alan Gibson 8th Dan
The Founder And Chief Instructor Of The Sama Organisation Is Hanshi Alan Gibson. 8th Dan. With Now 50 Years Of experience, Hanshi is the Head Of the Organisation, and all children in Sama East Sussex and Kent have to be Graded In Front Of Him. Hanshi Gibson Lives and still teaches children and adults in Sama Brighton. And has many Senior Instructors Working under him.All Sama Instructors have been graded by Hanshi Gibson. Hanshi Is also the founder of the American Kickboxing Academy - AKBA, and has trained with and taught many Kickboxing Champions from around the world, including "Superfoot" Bill Wallace.
The Assistant Chief Instructor - Shihan David C. Jacobs 6th Dan.
Shihan Jacobs, has now been training for over 33 years, and is now the Assistant Chief Instructor to the Oranisation. Shihan still lives and teaches children and adults in Sama Worthing and has done for over 25 years. Shihan is also the Instructor to Sensei Asargiotakis - Sama South East Senior Instructor, and Sempai Matthew - Assistant Senior Instructor. Sempai Matthew was taught and worked with Shihan Jacobs in Worthing for 8 years before teaching in the Sama South East area. Shihan grades and heads all of Sama West Sussex, Surry and Hampshire, and is also the founder of the Sama Tai Chi Chuan kung Fu System, Which Shihan Jacobs also holds the rank of Sifu 5th Degree.
Senior Instructor - Yondan Sensei Tim Klus 4th Dan.
Yondan Klus has also been training for 30 years, and is now the 3rd in command to the entire Organisation. Yondan Klus also teaches hundreds of children and adults each week in Sama Worthing, and has done so for 25 years.
Yondan Klus is also responsable for teaching Sensei Asargiotakis as well as many of the other Sama Instructors. He also grades many of the children in Sama, including the Portsmouth, Southampton, Bournemouth and Guildford areas.
Yondan Klus is also the Chief Referee at the Sama Interclub Competitions that are held each year, He is also the club secutary and runs the Head Office with his wife Shellie.
Area Senior instructor - Sensei George Asargiotakis 3rd Dan.
Sensei Asargiotakis Has been training for 19 Years with the Sama Organisation teaches hundreds of children and adults each week in sama south east (west sussex east sussex and kent) also responsable for for all the instructor with in sama south east, and running Kiickboxing fight nights and Ring-Craft.
