About your training Kickboxing is what it says, boxing with your hands, with the exception of the added spinning fists (not allowed in some tournaments) and kicks from karate. Your training is based on a progressive developed grading system through to black belt. You can also acquire coach qualification. Training lasts one hour, and consists of usually two minute rounds of skipping, exercise, stretching, impact work on - focus pads for punches, kicking practice on shields, shadow sparring and stamina with rests between rounds. To help motivation and timing energising music is played for each round.

The SAMA Kickboxing program has something for everyone. Whether you're interested in competition fighting or you just want to get a good alround workout and learn some technique we can help you to attain yourgoals. You'll sculpt your arms, legs, abdominal's and gluts. You'll be surprised just how quickly your enduranceimproves and your body changes. Not only will you get the best cardio workout that you've ever experienced, you'll also get resistance training in every class which will help you build lean, long muscle and burn fat. SAMA Kickboxing is different from many fitness or martial art programs out there. It's a great workout like nothing you've ever experienced. This is not Taebo; it's real championship kickboxing training that will get you into optimum shape as you learn valuable skills. You'll wrap your hands in boxers hand wraps, skip rope, stretch out and do footwork, shadow boxing, kick the shields and hit focus pads just like a pro kickboxing champion fighter doe's. This type of training is not available in health clubs. There is no workout quite like the one you'll get at a SAMA Kickboxing class. You'll be excited about the class because the workout is fun and motivating. After a while you'll begin to feel better about yourself because you'll gain self-confidence, increase your energy level, sculpt your body and learn at the same time a self-defence. According to the American Sport Council on Exercise...Kickboxing is well known as an excellent form of stress relief, kickboxing inspired workouts have found to improve strength, aerobic fitness and flexibility. The variety of movements used in kickboxing can sharpen reflexes and improve coordination and balance. In addition, this type of exercise can burn an average of 500-800 calories an hour as opposed to the 300-400 calories typically burned by the average step aerobics class.
