Karate is a way of life. We base our karate classes on the older traditional roots of Chinese philosophy and Okinawan karate where good etiquette, health, self-defence and the discipline of body, mind & spirit are important factors within our training.

Karate lessons Self-defence – Some people seem to have the wrong impression that self-defence and karate are two different things. People often ask me if I teach self-defence as well as karate. I try to explain to them that karate is self-defence. Still it seems there is a lot of confusion over this. Self-defence courses may help a little at the time, but little and often can be a dangerous thing, anyway 6 months down the road most of what you have learnt is soon forgotten. The bottom line is that there are no shortcuts to learning good self-defence.

Beginners can book up to 4 trial lesson, After trial a membership/licence required to continue. After pre-booking your session turn up 15 minutes prior to the start of the chosen class. Dress in suitable clothing for exercising. All other Equipment is provided. All our classes last for 1 hour until reach their first grade (Red Belt), then can stay for 2 hour class we run in most of our venues.
